100 kg of sea cucumber seized in Rameswaram

The Coastal Marine Police on Thursday seized a total of 100 kg of sea cucumber worth Rs. 5 lakh here.

The Coastal Security Police apprehended two people namely Indrakumar and Muniyasamy in Rameswaram's Serankottai Seashore.

Listed under Schedule I of the Wildlife Protection Act, the sea cucumber, an endangered species, is banned to harvest.
