Artist organises exhibition to collect money for Army jawans

Ceramic Nirmala Sharma, mother of Devashish -- who was killed while serving for the Indian Army in and in 1994 -- has organised a ceramic pottery exhibition to raise money for the families of army jawans in Bhopal's Banganga.

Devashish Sharma, a Kirti Chakra awardee, died on December 10 in 1994 during an encounter with terrorists.

As homage to her late son, Nirmala sells hand-made pottery and raises funds for the welfare of Army soldiers. Last year, she had raked in nearly Rs 1 lakh through the exhibition.
