At least two killed in Afghan suicide car bomb attack in Kabul

At least two Afghan security guards have been killed in a suicide car bomb attack in Kabul at a foreign compound, said local officials.

According to the BBC, the attacker rammed his explosives-laden vehicle on the outskirts of Kabul early in the morning.

The area accommodates a lot of facilities that belong to foreign companies and international military bases.

The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the suicide car bomb attack.

Najib Danish, deputy spokesman for the ministry of interior said that it was a bomb in a small truck and reports showed that two guards were killed and several were injured.

The officials said that a large plume of smoke was seen and the blast was heard across the capital.

 

In the recent weeks, Kabul has been hit with a number of such attacks.
