Balasore firecracker explosion: Odisha CM announces ex-gratia of Rs two lakh

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday announced ex-gratia of Rs two lakh for the kin of deceased and Rs. 50,000 for those injured in Balasore firecracker explosion.

At least eight people were killed and over 20 injured in an explosion while making crackers at Bahabalpur in Odisha's Balasore district.

The incident took place a day ahead of Diwali.

The injured were rushed to the nearby hospital for medical treatment.
