The Border Security Forces's (BSF) Tripura frontier Inspector General B.N. Sharma has revealed that the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have assured him that they plan to establish new Border Outposts (BOPs) in the Chittagong Hill Track area.

The BGB also informed that they are taking action against militants hiding in their territory and showed concern over the smuggling of drugs. This is being done in the wake of increased drug smuggling along the India-Bangladesh border.

It is expected that at least seventeen composite BOPs would be erected on Tripura's eastern border with Bangladesh.

Recently, the BSF had ceased and destroyed a huge quantity of Phensedyl cough syrup, cannabis and other Bangladesh bound contraband.
