Barca's lead on top of La Liga cut short to two points post 2-2 draw against 'resolute' Sevilla

Barcelona squandered a two-goal advantage as they played out a 2-2 draw against a spirited Sevilla side in their La Liga fixture on Saturday night.
Barca's talisman Lionel Messi put the Catalan giants ahead in the 14th minute with a superb curled goal before Neymar's stunning free-kick doubled the lead in the 31st minute.
Subsequently, Sevilla staged a strong comeback as David Banega pulled one back before the end of the first-half, and striker Kevin Gameiro later netted an equalizer six minutes before the full-time, the BBC reported.
With the draw, Barca's lead has been reduced to two points as second-placed Real Madrid have 73 points following a comfortable 3-0 win over Eibar earlier in the day.
