Biman Bangladesh Airlines resumes Delhi-Dhaka route after 5 yrs

Airlines has resumed its services from New to after a gap of five years, authorities said.

The plane carried 150 passengers from and landed at in the capital on Monday. The aircraft carried 87 passengers in its returning flight.

As the plane touched down at New Delhi, it was greeted by an arch of water cannon.

High Commissioner to India received the passengers and wished bon voyage to the departing ones at the airport.

Airlines had suspended its direct flight operation on Dhaka-route in September 2014 citing aircraft shortage in its fleet.
