None of the top Bollywood celebrities reached to pay tribute to Dadasaheb Phalke on his 70th death anniversary in Mumbai.

Poonam Pandey said, "I believe that every second person of this industry should come. I, being a newcomer, have here and last year also I was here. Even this year I am here. I will be here every year because this is kind of blessing that you need to work harder".

Television actors paid floral tributes at the statue of the 'Father of Indian Cinema' in the premises of Nashik Municipal Corporation.

On being asked if it was unfair that the veteran director was not conferred with the Bharat Ratna, Razak Khan said, "Dadasaheb Phalke is beyond anything. He will achieve the due recognition. It is just a matter of time".

Dhundiraj Govind Phalke, popularly known as Dadasaheb Phalke, was an Indian producer-director-screenwriter who made the first Indian silent film 'Raja Harishchandra' and had made 95 movies and 26 short films in his career spanning 19 years.
