Mythological television fiction 'Buddha' cast and crew organised a special screening for Tibetans-in-exile to impart knowledge about the teachings and principles of Lord Buddha.
The television show titled 'Buddha' (The King of Kings) is a historical drama produced by B. K. Modi.
The programme stars Kabir Bedi in a cameo role as Asita Muni, the sage who announces the coming of Lord Gautam Buddha.
The story of the serial is based on the life of Lord Buddha that shows how a prince, Siddhartha became a Buddha.
The producer of the television show, B. K. Modi said that His Holiness, the Dalai Lama, wanted to motivate the people to follow the principles of peace, love and compassion.

"The whole purpose of this serial according to His Holiness (The Dalai Lama) was to let people move away from a faith based society to a knowledge based society," he said.
The show's crew met some of the prominent Tibetan leaders including Prime Minister in-exile Lobsang Sangay, former Prime Minister in-exile Samdhong Rinpoche, and Tibetan parliamentarians in-exile.
Pinning hopes on the show, actress, Neha, said that she has witnessed a major transformation in her personal life.
"Whenever we do a biopic we always hope that people are following it and learn from it about the teachings and principles of Lord Buddha. I have witnessed a transformation in me and that people should also see," she said.
