Centre 'keeping an eye' on terror recruitment in Kashmir

The is keeping a tab on the growing number of youth joining terrorism in Kashmir, said Sitharaman.

"We are keeping an eye on recruitment. We are also focusing on what is motivating them to join terrorism and who is behind influencing them. Also, we are able to eliminate terrorists on the borders itself," Sitharaman said at a press conference here on Friday.

Earlier in the day, one (CRPF) personnel was killed and another got seriously injured in a terrorist attack in Anantnag's Sheer Pora.

Meanwhile, earlier this week one security personnel was killed and another was critically injured after an encounter with terrorists in Handwara area of district on July 11. Terrorists also hurled grenade at a joint camp of the CRPF in district on July 9.
