Chilean woman weeps 'bloody tears' several times a day

A Chilean woman cries tears of blood several times a day and it happens without any warning.

Yaritza Oliva told a local news program that she started weeping bloody tears about a month ago and doctors in her hometown, Purranque, have not been able to pinpoint the cause of her condition, the New York Daily News reported.

The 20-year-old, who is desperately seeking doctor's help, said that she is in "indescribable" pain, but has only been given eye drops to help.

Haemolacria, or bloody tears, may result from a wide range of medical problems, such as an infection, a head injury or a tumor.
