Couple receive bag full of cash instead of burgers at McDonald's

ANI Washington

A couple from Tennessee recently made an order at their local McDonald's drive-through but accidentally left with a bag filled with cash.

A local station said that the bag with thousands of dollars was meant for a bank but due to an employee's mistake, it ended up with Stacye Terry and her husband Greg, the Washington Post reported.

A McDonalds employee, who realized the mistake, was able to track down the Terry family as they drove home.

Keeping the money was never an option for Mrs. Terry, who said that the second that he said it was their deposit, her first reaction was to get in the truck and take it back.

Phil Gray, the McDonald's owner and operator said that they were grateful to the customer and they are looking into why the mistake happened, but what is more important is knowing that they are part of a community with the values that were evidenced by the customer's actions.
