Expat welfare, strong diplomatic ties priorities for new Indian envoy to UAE

The welfare of Indian expatriates and strengthening diplomatic relations with the UAE are two priorities for India's ambassador-designate to the UAE.

T. P. Seetharam said that welfare of the community must be the top priority of any Indian ambassador.

In an informal conversation with Gulf News, Seetharam, noting the deep historical relations between the UAE and India, said more awareness must be created about improvements in bilateral relations, the report added.
