Former Congress leader Daggubati Purandeswari likely to join BJP

Former Congress leader Daggubati Purandeswari on Thursday showed her willingness to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and is likely to join the party on Friday.

Purandeshwari had opted out of the Congress following her protest against the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

Purandeswari is the daughter of former Andhra Pradesh chief minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) founder N T Rama Rao, and is currently a member of the Lok Sabha from Visakhapatnam.
