Jaish-e-Mohammad commander killed in Pulwama encounter

The district commander of Jaish-e-Mohammed, Altaf Baba, was killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district last evening.

The encounter started on Wednesday evening when security forces and police laid a cordon in Achgoza village.

According to television reports, Altaf Baba was active in South Kashmir for the past six years.

One AK-47 rifle and a huge quantity of arms and ammunition were recovered from the encounter site.
