Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton has reportedly taken part in a five-kilometre run along with British journalist and political aide Alastair Campbell in England to support a campaign against alcohol abuse.
According to the Daily Star, Barton and Campbell, who is former British Prime Minister Tony Blair's ex-PR manager, had also urged current PM David Cameron to tackle alcohol abuse at a Tory conference.
The report mentioned that Campbell has battled alcohol addiction in the past.
Meanwhile, Barton had reportedly signed up for a university philosophy course and is studying about ancient Greek philosophers Aristotle, Homer, Plato and Socrates after training.
