Katie Holmes set to play Christian Grey's ex-lover in 'Fifty Shades of Grey' flick

Katie Holmes is reportedly set to play the role of Christian Grey's ex-lover, Elena Lincoln in the film adaptation of 'Fifty Shades of Grey'.

According to National Enquirer, the 34-year-old actress is keen to "reinvent" herself and thinks that Hollywood would sit up and take notice of her, Metro.co.uk reported.

A source claimed that she is looking at this as the role of a lifetime for her.

The film is being directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, and is due to commence shooting in December.
