Controversial Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios, who is aiming for his first Grand Slam final next year, has said that he has 'matured a lot' after being handed a suspended ban for his on-court insulting remark against Swiss tennis ace Stanislas Wawrinka.
Describing himself as a 'competitor', the 20-year-old said that he had learned a lot both as a person and as a tennis player, News.com.au reported.
He further refused to consider himself as 'angry' and insisted that he was actually a calm personality off the court.
Kyrgios, however, said that he would do anything in order to bring energy and excitement into his game.
Expressing his views on his upcoming matches, the current bad boy of tennis said that he is looking forward to clinch the grand slam next year or two.
Kyrgios' best grand slam result of 2015 came in Wimbledon when he reached the fourth round of the tournament before losing to French opponent Richard Gasquet.
