Manchester City defender Micah Richards has reportedly revealed that he will not sign a new contract at the club and wants to leave Manuel Pellegrini's squad this summer.
Richards has reportedly become frustrated with his lack of opportunities at the club, although he has one year left on his current contract.
According to the Daily Star, despite boss Pellegrini's hopes to keep the fullback at City, Richards has made it clear that he does not want to sit around on the bench anymore.
A source close to Richards revealed that the defender had made the club aware of his plans to leave at the end of the season back in March.
The source said that it is with a heavy heart that Richards has told City that he will not sign a new deal and the club has now accepted that the defender would be leaving, the report added.
