A minute-by-minute tracking of aircrafts in real time will be introduced in 2016 to easily pinpoint the location of planes that are lost at sea as the aviation industry aims to prevent a reoccurrence of the mystery surrounding the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines flight MH370.

According to News.com.au, an international aviation summit in Montreal also showed complete support for flight monitoring plans.

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is likely to approve the proposal in November that will make it obligatory for all airlines in 2016.

ICAO chairman Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu said that the monitoring system will only be helpful in preventing lost jets but accidents will not be avoided with the introduction of the plan.

The plan came in the aftermath of the missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 which was en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
