MP: 6-year-old forced to manually scavenge

Despite various laws banning manual scavenging, a heart-breaking incident has come to light in Madhya Pradesh's Chhatarpur.

A six-year-old school girl was forced by a young man to manually scavenge at Lav-kushnagar in the Gudaura village.

The victim was asked to do it when she was defecating in an open area due to the lack of toilets in her school.

A case has been registered under Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act and Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, under section 374, 504, 23 of Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Meanwhile, the police searching for accused.
