Mukherjee greets Kyrgyz Republic on Independence Day eve

President Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the government and people of the Kyrgyz Republic on the eve of their Independence Day

"On behalf of the Government, and the people of India and on my own behalf, I have the pleasure to extend to you and to the people of the Kyrgyz Republic warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your Independence Day". said Mukherjee in his message to Almazbek Atambaev, President of Kyrgyz Republic.

"India and the Kyrgyz Republic enjoy traditionally close relations based on our shared values and historical and cultural linkages. India is committed to strengthening and expanding our bilateral relations for the mutual benefit of our two peoples". Mukherjee said in a statement released by Rashtrapati Bhawan.

 

India admires the progress being made by the Kyrgyz Republic in establishing a parliamentary form of government with strong democratic institutions.

Mukherjee further said that In the recent visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Kyrgyz Republic has not only consolidated bilateral relationship, but has also opened up new avenues for enhancing the trade and economic cooperation between India and the Kyrgyz Republic.

"I would like to take this opportunity to convey my best wishes for your personal well being and the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of the Kyrgyz Republic." Mukherjee added.
