Nigella Lawson's ex threatens her with legal action to reveal 'truth' behind bust-up

Charles Saatchi has threatened legal proceedings against his former wife Nigella Lawson in a bid to reveal the "truth" behind the bust-up at a London restaurant, which is going to paint an entirely different picture of the incident, according to reports.

A letter sent to her solicitors by Saatchi's lawyers makes a series of allegations about the celebrity cook's behaviour, the Mirror reported.

It is believed that Saatchi could issue a writ against Lawson in the High Court next week.

Saatchi, who accepted a caution for assault after he was clicked with his hand around Lawson's throat, is said to be "determined" to make the reason behind the couple's bust-up public.

 

A source close to Saatchi said that he has been portrayed as the villain but there is far more to the incident than meets the eye, asserting that Lawson has not given her version of what caused the bust-up between the two, and her silence speaks volumes.

The source said that when the couple got together following the death of her first husband John Diamond, Lawson gave Saatchi assurances and on the day they had a fight in the eatery he found out that she had not stuck to them.
