Refuting reports that the railways has decided to close the Indian Railways Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers (IRIMEE) at Jamalpur, the Ministry of Railways has clarified that no such decision has been taken.
The IRIMEE will continue as a centralised training institute of the ministry devoted to training mechanical engineers and other officers of the Indian Railways, the ministry said.
