At least one person is dead and eighteen have been injured in Tuesday's explosion at a major Austrian gas hub.
The explosion took place at a plant in Baumgarten, east of Vienna, reported local media, citing, a Red Cross official Sonja Keller as saying.
The cause of the blast and the condition of those injured are not immediately known.
The Baumgarten gas hub receives some 40 billion cubic metres of gas annually and redistributes it elsewhere in Europe including to Germany and northern Italy.
