Oprah Winfrey names Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan daytime talk's 'reigning king and queen'

Oprah Winfrey has called Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan as "the reigning king and queen" of the daytime talk show.

The 59-year-old chat show made the declaration during a surprise appearance on 'Live with Kelly and Michael' on Tuesday, the New York Daily News reported.

Winfrey, who now runs the OWN cable network, hosted 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' nationally for 25 years from 1986 to 2011.
