Pakistan has said that it is no more in a position to trust the United States' assurances of peace, after the recent drone strikes.

Interior Minister Nisar Ali Khan said that he was surprised when adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz, believed the US' assurance of halting drone strikes, the Daily Times reports.

Nisar further said that the recent drone strikes have made it clear that the US neither wants peace in Pakistan, nor wants the government to successfully hold talks with the Taliban.
