President Mukherjee extends greetings on eve of Milad-un-Nabi

President Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday extended his greetings to the nation on the eve of Milad-un-Nabi.

"On the auspicious occasion of Milad-un-Nabi, the birthday of the Holy Prophet, I extend my heartiest greetings and best wishes to all my fellow countrymen, in India and abroad," President Mukherjee said in a message.

"May the message of the Holy Prophet, inspire us to work towards universal brotherhood, compassion, tolerance and the well-being of all. Let us on this day recall the life and ideals of Hazrat Mohammed Saheb and re-dedicate ourselves to the service of humanity," he added.
