South African batsman Dean Elgar has insisted that the side is experienced enough to prepare for the second Test against Bangladesh starting in Mirpur on Thursday despite rough weather.

The visitors were forced to have indoor training at the Sher-e Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Monday afternoon and are likely to face bad weather conditions for the whole week.

Elgar said that they were lucky to have an experienced squad with each player knowing what is required of him, Sport24 reported.

He insisted that they have to try to use the facilities that they have as they can't do much about rain.

Elgar is hopeful that the team will learn from the Chittagong Test and would be successful in the series-deciding match.

The 28-year-old batsman said that one of the reasons why the team is at the number one position was the fact that they don't look too far ahead.

The first Test at Chittagong ended in a tame draw after persistent rain washed out the last two days' play.
