Ramna Batamul carnage verdict rescheduled for June 23

A Dhaka court has rescheduled the Ramna Batamul carnage verdict for June 23.
Judge Ruhul Amin of the Second Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court, who was scheduled to pronounce the verdict today, said the date has been extended as he couldn't complete writing the judgment of the case, Bangladesh's Daily Star reported.
The Criminal Investigation Department had pressed charges against 14 leaders and activists of the banned militant outfit Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami (Huji) including its chief Mufti Abdul Hannan, after several blasts killed ten people and injuring around 50 others at Ramna Batamul during Bangla New Year in 2001.
