ANI New Delhi [India]

Foreign Secretary S. Jaishankar will embark on a four-day official visit to the United States beginning February 28.

During his visit, the Foreign Secretary will be meeting with chairpersons of key Congressional Committees besides Speaker of the House of Representatives Paul Ryan and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

He is expected to discuss various bilateral issues including concerns over change in H1B visas which would affect the Indian nationals working there.

The H1B visa is a non-immigrant visa that allows the U.S. companies to employ foreign workers in specialised fields.

Jaishankar is also expected to discuss the security of Indian nationals post Kansas shooting, which claimed the life of an Indian origin engineer.
