Michelle Obama was recently left speechless when a 10-year-old girl handed the First Lady her father's resume at the recent Q-and-A session with the children of Executive Office employees.
For the convenience of other kids at the event who could not hear Charlotte Bell's request, Michelle announced that the matter was private, but the little girl was doing something for her dad.
After the event ended, Michelle hugged Charlotte and took the resume as she left the East Room.
Charlotte's mum, who is an executive branch employee, later revealed that Bell's father had been jobless for nearly three years and was trying to get a job with the Obama administration.
Her mum added that they had joked about handing her husband's resume to the First Lady, but were not aware that their daughter had taken the joke seriously.
