Seven killed in road mishap in Uttarakhand

At least seven people were killed and four others injured when the jeep they were travelling in plunged into a deep gorge near Laachhi bridge in Pauri District yesterday.

The accident took place when the ill fated jeep was on its way from Bajaro to Laachhi.

A team of revenue police, with the help of local residents, carried out the rescue operations. The injured were taken to the nearby hospital.

All deceased are said to be locals of Beeronkhal block of Thalisain tehsil.
