Akshay Bardapurkar, the general secretary of the Shiv Sena Chitrapat Sena, the cine wing of the Shiv Sena, on Wednesday sought to cancel the show of Pakistani ghazal singer Ghulam Ali at the Shanmukhanand Hall here.
"We are against any cultural association with Pakistan. We cannot have ties with a country that kills our soldiers. They are against us, so, why should we let their singers perform here?" said Badrapurkar.
Bardapurkar further said, "Today, we are requesting them to cancel the program, otherwise we will be forced to protest in our style."
