Short circuit, not fire reported at Maharashtra Secretariat

A short circuit was reported on Monday outside the cabin of a state minister at Mantralaya, the Maharashtra state government secretariat, here today.

The short circuit happened on the first floor of the building where State Tribal Development Minister Rajendra Gavit's office is located.

At least three fire tenders were sent to the spot when a false fire alarm was raised.

Television reports had earlier said that a fire had broken out in the secretariat.
