It seems like Joseph Kahn is not at all pleased with the "double standards" faced by Swift and other women.

Joseph Kahn, the director of Taylor Swift's recording-breaking new song 'Look What You Made Me Do' has expressed anger with what he perceived to be gendered double standards within the industry.

Taking the matter to Twitter, he tweeted, "If I plan something as a man I'm a 'genius.' If Taylor as a woman plans something she is 'manipulative.' Double standards. This is wrong."

The first single from Swift's upcoming album 'Reputation' has polarized critics, with some praising it as a new direction for the singer and others calling it as petty and flawed.

While the song has already smashed several records, it has also divided fans and inspired some unflattering think pieces.

Kahn previously defended the 'Look What You Made Me Do' video amid allegations of ripping off Beyonce's 'Formation' music video.
