Tony Abbott 'breached' royal protocol by touching Prince William

Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott reportedly breached royal protocol by placing his hand on Prince William's back while guiding him around Federal Parliament in Canberra.

An Instagram photo posted by Harper's BAZAAR Australia shows Abbott's hand on the Duke of Cambridge's back, News.com.au reported.

Abbott was also seen placing his arm around the Duke and Duchess in Manly previously.

According to the protocol, all commoners, including Australian prime ministers, are forbidden to touch royalty without invitation.
