Two militant commanders among six held in Rawalpindi combing operations

At least six suspected militants, including two terrorist commanders were arrested during successful raids in the outskirts of Rawalpindi, says Pakistan Army launched country-wide combing operations to bust terror cells.

Pakistan military's media ISPR in a statement said the militants were arrested on Thursday night.

"The combing operations were carried out last night to nab terrorists in Kallar Sayedan and Gujar Khan areas of Rawalpindi district," the Express Tribune quoted the statement as saying.

The army also claimed of recovering a huge cache of arms and ammunition, including improvised explosive devices (IEDs), from their possession.

The army launched combing operations on Wednesday in the suburbs of Quetta three days after a suicide bombing killed over 70people, mostly lawyers, at the city's Civil Hospital.
