A U.S. Airways flight has been canceled in Philadelphia after its passengers refused to fly for not allowing a legally blind man accompanied by his guide dog on board.

The passengers blamed a flight attendant for mistreating Albert Rizzi for not being able to control his dog on the flight, ABC reports.

The passengers said that the flight attendant was adamant that the dog should go under the plane's seat before the flight takes off.

However, after waiting on the tarmac for more than an hour and a half, the dog began to get restless.

The flight attendant then asked the man and his dog to get off the flight, the report added.

However, the officials on the U.S. Airways flight said that the crew's safety was a factor and that they have training for guide dog procedures, but claimed that the blind man got verbally abusive.

Later, the passengers were bused to Long Island by the airline.
