United States of America (US) Ambassador to India Richard Verma offered prayers at the Golden Temple in Amritsar on Wednesday.
Verma also visited the Jallianwala Bagh in the city and paid tribute to martyrs.
He is also slated to visit the Integrated Check Post at Attari to meet the custom officials and attend the beating retreat ceremony at Attari-Wagah Joint Check Post in the evening.
Verma is on a two-day visit to Punjab beginning today.
