After acknowledging the fact that his behaviour might have led to Mickey Arthur's sacking as Australian coach, batsman David Warner has vowed to knuckle down and prove his worth.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Warner boarded a plane to Zimbabwe on Tuesday intent on reinventing himself as a solid citizen of the Australian team and a No.6 batsman in the Mike Hussey mould.

The batsman said that he owed it to his teammates to lift his standards and he knew that if he stuffed up, he would be on the first plane home, adding that it something he already knew.
