Sabine Schmitz, who earned her nickname of The World's Fastest Taxi Driver by giving passengers high-speed thrill rides around Nurburgring's Nordschleife circuit will compete in a race for Le Mans prototypes from the 1980s and early 1990s at Silverstone.

According to The Sun, the 44-year-old German is known to petrolheads around the world who flock to the Nordschleife to witness her amazing skills at close hand.

The report said that Sabine will drive a 220 mph Porsche 962 Le Mans car at Silverstone, and has made regular appearances on BBC's Top Gear.

She once claimed she only needed a Transit van to beat Jeremy Clarkson's best lap time around the Nordschleife in a Jaguar S-type, the report added.
