Capital Goods stocks edge lower

Capital Goods stocks were trading in red, with the S&P BSE Capital Goods index decreasing 281.69 points or 1.6% at 17315.39 at 13:47 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, Larsen & Toubro Ltd (down 2.66%), Siemens Ltd (down 2.29%),NBCC (India) Ltd (down 2.2%),Sadbhav Engineering Ltd (down 1.71%),HEG Ltd (down 1.36%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Thermax Ltd (down 1.25%), Carborundum Universal Ltd (down 1.22%), Graphite India Ltd (down 0.56%), Honeywell Automation India Ltd (down 0.41%), and Grindwell Norton Ltd (down 0.2%).

On the other hand, V-Guard Industries Ltd (up 1.93%), AIA Engineering Ltd (up 1.75%), and Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd (up 1.25%) turned up.

 

At 13:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 91.6 or 0.22% at 40912.9.

The Nifty 50 index was up 36.15 points or 0.3% at 12073.85.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 1.8 points or 0.01% at 13409.53.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 6.5 points or 0.14% at 4683.61.

On BSE,1105 shares were trading in green, 1228 were trading in red and 186 were unchanged.
