Consumer Durables stocks tumble

Consumer Durables stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index decreasing 327.96 points or 1.24% at 26137.73 at 13:47 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index, V I P Industries Ltd (down 3.61%), Metropolis Healthcare Ltd (down 2.47%),Blue Star Ltd (down 2.29%),TTK Prestige Ltd (down 2.21%),Crompton Greaves Consumer Electrical Ltd (down 2.2%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Whirlpool of India Ltd (down 1.91%), Voltas Ltd (down 1.56%), Titan Company Ltd (down 1.01%), and Bajaj Electricals Ltd (down 0.36%).

On the other hand, Symphony Ltd (up 2.09%), and Rajesh Exports Ltd (up 0.2%) turned up.

 

At 13:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 127.36 or 0.32% at 40174.6.

The Nifty 50 index was down 45.35 points or 0.38% at 11895.95.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 111.11 points or 0.82% at 13519.55.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 37.18 points or 0.79% at 4653.43.

On BSE,913 shares were trading in green, 1424 were trading in red and 137 were unchanged.
