Consumer Price Inflation Surges To 6.30% In May

The National Statistical Office (NSO) released All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) data today. The consumer price inflation surged to 6.3% on year in May, after easing to a three-month low of 4.23% in previous month. The consumer food price index soared to 5.01% in May, as compared to 2.02% in April. The inflation for Oils and fats spiked nearly 30%.
