AS per Coal India directives
Electrosteel Castings announced that in pursuance of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India Order dated 24 September 2014 cancelling the coal blocks allotted in earlier years to various companies and Ordinance promulgated by The Government of India, Ministry of Law and Justice (Legislative Department) on 21 October 2014 ('the ordinance') for implementing the order of Supreme Court, inter alia, the Company's Parbatpur coal block stood cancelled. In terms of the Ordinance, the Company was allowed to continue its operation in mines till 31 March 2015.The Company has handed over the Parbatpur coal block along with other assets with effect from 01 April 2015 to (GM) Eastern Jharia area of BCCL as per the direction from Coal India (CIL) under powers vested by Section 18(1) of the Coal Mines (Special Provisions) 2nd Ordinance 2014.
