Financials shares rise
Financials stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Finance index rising 38.29 points or 0.56% at 6872.82 at 09:47 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Finance index, IIFL Finance Ltd (up 7.57%), Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd (up 5.78%),Magma Fincorp Ltd (up 4.9%),IFCI Ltd (up 4.53%),Bank of India (up 4.16%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Muthoot Capital Services Ltd (up 4.01%), Yes Bank Ltd (up 3.38%), JSW Holdings Ltd (up 3.06%), Allahabad Bank (up 2.31%), and Reliance Home Finance Ltd (up 2.29%).
On the other hand, Alankit Ltd (down 3.18%), Network 18 Media & Investments Ltd (down 1.67%), and CreditAccess Grameen Ltd (down 1.29%) moved lower.
At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 177.29 or 0.43% at 41066.52.
The Nifty 50 index was up 40.2 points or 0.33% at 12113.95.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 67.69 points or 0.5% at 13529.96.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 19.63 points or 0.42% at 4729.23.
On BSE,1030 shares were trading in green, 451 were trading in red and 60 were unchanged.
