FMCG shares rise

FMCG stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index rising 59.34 points or 0.51% at 11753.13 at 09:47 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index, Bajaj Consumer Care Ltd (up 9.99%), Globus Spirits Ltd (up 4.54%),Emami Ltd (up 3.79%),Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd (up 2.29%),ADF Foods Ltd (up 1.59%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Britannia Industries Ltd (up 1.49%), Zydus Wellness Ltd (up 1.4%), Radico Khaitan Ltd (up 1.27%), Advanced Enzyme Technologies Ltd (up 1.26%), and Avanti Feeds Ltd (up 1.13%).

On the other hand, Eveready Industries India Ltd (down 4.97%), Mcleod Russel India Ltd (down 3.37%), and Sanwaria Consumer Ltd (down 3.33%) moved lower.

 

At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 38.66 or 0.1% at 38637.65.

The Nifty 50 index was up 2.85 points or 0.02% at 11466.85.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 25.1 points or 0.2% at 12825.02.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 8.58 points or 0.2% at 4368.18.

On BSE,743 shares were trading in green, 613 were trading in red and 72 were unchanged.
