Healthcare stocks rise
Healthcare stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index increasing 64.68 points or 0.5% at 13017.31 at 09:49 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Vivimed Labs Ltd (up 6.95%), Gufic BioSciences Ltd (up 4.8%),Shilpa Medicare Ltd (up 3.24%),Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company Ltd (up 2.82%),Jubilant Life Sciences Ltd (up 2.62%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Glaxosmithkline Pharmaceuticals Ltd (up 2.6%), Abbott India Ltd (up 2.31%), Dr Lal Pathlabs Ltd (up 2.21%), IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd (up 1.99%), and Sequent Scientific Ltd (up 1.82%).
On the other hand, Panacea Biotec Ltd (down 1.31%), Lincoln Pharmaceuticals Ltd (down 1.28%), and Narayana Hrudayalaya Ltd (down 1.21%) turned lower.
At 09:49 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 116.39 or 0.31% at 36865.38.
The Nifty 50 index was down 29.75 points or 0.27% at 10916.45.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 14.78 points or 0.12% at 12609.37.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 6.91 points or 0.16% at 4243.31.
On BSE,742 shares were trading in green, 573 were trading in red and 77 were unchanged.
