Healthcare stocks rise

Healthcare stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index increasing 104.11 points or 0.77% at 13576.45 at 09:47 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, ERIS Lifesciences Ltd (up 3.92%), RPG Life Sciences Ltd (up 2.94%),Shalby Ltd (up 2.7%),Nectar Lifescience Ltd (up 2.6%),Narayana Hrudayalaya Ltd (up 1.99%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Astrazeneca Pharma India Ltd (up 1.88%), Biocon Ltd (up 1.83%), Thyrocare Technologies Ltd (up 1.53%), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd (up 1.51%), and Pfizer Ltd (up 1.49%).

On the other hand, Shilpa Medicare Ltd (down 3.11%), Opto Circuits (India) Ltd (down 1.59%), and Take Solutions Ltd (down 1.44%) turned lower.

 

At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 38.26 or 0.09% at 40817.85.

The Nifty 50 index was up 20.4 points or 0.17% at 12038.8.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 27.62 points or 0.21% at 13482.85.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 2.98 points or 0.06% at 4718.49.

On BSE,840 shares were trading in green, 529 were trading in red and 55 were unchanged.
